Accessorize is set to launch its own standalone e-commerce website as it looks to expand internationally.
Accessorizes parent company Monsoon had made the decision to separate the two brands online to mirror the experience it offers on the high street. The retailer benefited from double online sales during 2009 and plans to continue this growth by dividing the two brands and giving them their own independent identities. The online store will be central to the firms international expansion plan, and will be available across Europe in five languages.
Monsoon has appointed ecommerce platform Venda to create the Accessorize website, which will include social features and behavioural merchandising.
Steve Back, CCO of Monsoon and Accessorize, said, “By creating an online experience similar to walking into an Accessorize store, the return on investment from the online opportunity is sizeable.” |
