Rachel Galley - Jewellery Designer
Rachel Galley, 26, graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2004 with a First Class Honours Degree in Jewellery Design and has since worked for some of the most prestigious brands in the luxury market, including; Links of London, Stephen Webster and Boodles, before setting up her own business two years ago.

Rachel who designs from her Studio in the much sought after Cockpits Arts, in Holborn, London specialises in jewellery using contrasting colours and textures and incorporating hidden compartments, enabling the wearer to actively interact with their jewellery. Her pieces are inspired by every day objects, intricate carvings, bronze historic treasures and natural textures. “I like to emphasise beauty in the pieces in unlikely places,” she says.
Working in gold and silver and using semi-precious stones, this talented young jeweller creates pieces of stunning jewellery that have a wide appeal. She has incorporated men’s cufflinks throughout her ‘Collections’ and is launching a complete ‘Men’s Collection’ in early 2009.
Rachel has undertaken a number of private commissions and is already attracting a celebrity following for her contemporary style. Unique designs have been created for singer, Lily Allen and actress, Juliette Lewis, and are worn by TV presenters, musicians and models. Fashion designer Aimee McWilliams has used several of Rachel’s designs in photo shoots; Jennifer Sanders recently wore the ‘Memento Globe Pendant’ on the cover of Woman & Home and Musical Theatre Star Julie Steincke currently in ‘Chicago’ and Denmark’s ‘Got Talent Show’ - has been photographed with her jewellery in several international glossy magazines.
Rachel was one of a select few, to be awarded a prestigious Goldsmiths’ bursary to attend the 25th Anniversary Fair in 2007 and was a finalist in the ‘Young Designer of the Year’ category, at the recently held UK Jewellery Awards 2008.
